See the note at the bottom of the page for information on downloading these Micro Flight planes.
Albatros D.II for Micro Flight Albatros D.II - Originally built as a test model for the (sadly) defunct 17 Hours project I've ported this plane to Micro Flight.
Nieuport 11 - Another ex-17 Hours plane this one sports a texture made by The Waldo. Nieuport 11 for Micro Flight
Phönix D.II for Micro Flight Phoenix D.II - This is the first 3d model I made. It was created before the Red Baron models formats had been cracked, it was the 2nd model ever flown in 17 Hours and now lives in Micro Flight.
Hanriot HD.2 - Another 17 Hours test model ported over to Micro Flight. Hanriot HD.2 for Micro Flight
Dirigible No. 6 for Micro Flight Dirigible No. 6 - I needed a test model to work out some theories on modeling rigging and discovered a largely forgotten hero of the early years of aviation--Alberto Santos Dumont.
Wright EX, Vin Fiz, 1911 - My current Micro Flight project, the reason I needed to practice rigging. It's now ready for texturing. Whew! Vin Fiz for Micro Flight
Etrich Taube for Micro Flight Etrich Taube, 1914 - I started this one as a Open Plane project but found that I just can't get the necessary tools to work on my computer. So, it will end up in Micro Flight also.

A Note About Micro Flight

Micro Flight is an inexpensive flight simulator written by Ilan Papini, the creator of Hang Sim and Virtual Sailor. Though not a combat flight simulator it is designed to encourage third party additions such as planes and scenaries. Please also note that I'm not very good at developing flight models (still toiling through my copy of "Theory of Wing Sections"!). If you improve the FMs for these planes I'd love to see your work!

Micro Flight is available at http://hangsim.com/mf. Virtual Sailor is available at http://hangsim.com/vs. The models shown above (and my Virtual Sailor ships) are freely available at http://static-lift.net
