Dahlgren 50 pounder rifle

When ever searching for anything Dahlgren this image is bound to appear. Since there was a drawing from the Archives in Arming the Fleet, and it fit my time-frame, I made one. I included the extra material and raised aft eyebolt as in the photo, which is different from the drawing.

XV inch Dahlgren gun

Finishing up the redo of the IX/iron carriage model, then finishing the XI iron pivot gun, brought me back to the XV inch Dalhgren tube I had started. I don't plan on making any more than the tube for this one, so to help anyone wanting to make this one, I modeled in a touch-hole and an elevation-screw hole. This way someone can make it a fortification piece, or a naval gun. This is the 177 inch over-all model.
